Overview

APCS is our software solution for air pollution monitoring systems and is currently adopted in the provice of Siracusa by CIPA, Province Administration and ENEL.
The software integrates functionality provided by Philips Office Automation (c) systems adding archiving, sharing, monitoring and data broadcasting features. Through the presentation of a user-friendly Windows interface, a number of modules and the usage of filter extensions the system easily allows the configuration of timed operations. Main features are data replication and import/export in different formats, air quality monitoring following italian laws D.A. nr.888/17 and D.P.C.M nr.30 of 28/05/94, archiving of any encountered event of intervention, the notification of events to a remote operator through fully automated voice calls or faxes, the distribution of data over TCP/IP on direct or on-demand connections).
At the moment the following modules are available:

Server, for basic system functionality (includes Timer and Tools, for operations scheduling);
Client, for data visualization and validation;
NetClient, for data visualization and validation through an http connection;
NetView, for data visualization and validation through an internet browser;
Import, for importing data from file, ftp and http sources in ascii, tot, 003, xml formats;
Export, for exporting data to file, ftp and http sources in ascii, tot, 003, xml formats;
Voice, for event notification to a remote operator through voice calls;
Control, for data monitoring and checking (including threshold, D.A. nr.888/17);
Extract, for data extraction based on user defined rules (threshold usually);
Convert, for converting data from/to different file formats;
Filter, for data filtering configuration;
VideoTex, for data distribution to a VideoText system;

Moreover APCS easily integrates with the Broadcast! system for data distribution over the territory.
